The Irish Charities American Fund is a new nonprofit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. The ICAF’s purpose is to fund raise in the United States for registered charities located in Ireland, kicking off this year with proceeds benefiting Children in Hospital Ireland.
The Irish Charities American Fund was founded by Paul Downey to harness the power of the 36 million Americans who claim Irish heritage and the over 200,000 Irish-born people living in the U.S.
Children in Hospital Ireland are a voluntary organization committed to promoting and ensuring the welfare of all children in hospital and their families. For 41 years, the organization has been directly working with sick children to bring them fun and support. CHI uses its expertise to deliver unique daily and weekly play sessions that support child patients, parents and staff in 20 hospital wards and playrooms nationwide.

Participants may choose any sporting event in Ireland; there are numerous sporting events in every county throughout the year. Approved Sporting events like Marathons, Half Marathons, 10K races, swimming competitions, Bicycle races, Martial Arts tournaments, Rowing, Triathlons, Run-A-Muck, Iron Man and Irish Dance competitions.
